Hey guys! As you can see I lied about the topic of this blog. Sorry. Anyways, instead of education, I will be informing you on the Russian flag. The flag consists of 3 equal strips: white, blue and red. These 3 colours have many different explanations of why they were used. The first one is that the colours comes from a coat of arms from the Grand Duchy of Moscow. Another version states that they are associated with the robes of the Virgin Mary. Also there is another explanation telling us that white represents God, blue is the Tsar and red stands for the peasants. These were only a few example and they are all very interesting. When talking about the colours individually, white stands for honesty and peace, the blue represents vigilance, truth, loyalty, perseverance and loyalty and finally, the red shows hardiness, bravery and strength. The current Russian flag became Russia's official flag August 21, 1991. This happened just before Russia became an independent state and before they joined the United Nations. This flag also inspired many flags in the Slavic countries in Europe. Russia also has a National flag day. This is an official holiday, but is not a day off. It is celebrated on August 22. That's it guys. Peace!

The Australian flag has all those three colours as well. Red, blue and white are featured in the Union Jack in the upper left corner, as well as the blue that makes up the background of the flag and the white stars. The present Australian flag is 90 years older than Russia's!
ReplyDeleteWow Noah that was very interesting! Even though there is only three striped, there sure is a lot of reason, history and information behind the three colours and stripes! My country's flag, Spain, was officailly created on December 19 1981, that means it's 10 years older. Spain's flag also has three stripes, but they are red and yellow! I'm very excited to learn more about your country, Russia!
ReplyDeleteHey Noah what's up? Your country flag is pretty awesome. The Germany flag also has three colours black, red and yellow. What our flags have in common is only the colour red. I really don't know the history of the colours on the germany flag. The three colours on the Germany flag are horizontal just like the colours on the Russia flag.
ReplyDeleteWow! I never knew so much about the Russian flag! Italy's flag also has three stripes but, they're vertical instead of horizontal. Secondly,Italy's flag consists of the colours white and red too but, the blue is replaced by green. Italy's flag and Russia's flag became official in the same year! (1991) However, mine is 7 months older than your's.
